Review I: Meditation on Workbook Lessons 1–50 from A Course in Miracles
Introduction
This guided meditation accompanies Review I of the Workbook of A Course in Miracles (Lessons 1–50). While the Workbook is designed as a daily practice, this meditation offers a gentle introduction to the themes of the first review, allowing you to experience them as a unified movement of healing.
The original Workbook lessons can be read in full at ACIM.org.
Use this meditation as a supportive companion to your daily lesson practice, or anytime you feel called to return to these foundational ideas that begin the undoing of fear, the ego and the remembrance of Truth.

Meditation
Now, let’s begin.
To start, I would like you to close your eyes and get comfortable.
If you are prone to falling asleep, please sit in an upright position to help you remain gently alert.
First, we will ready the body and quiet the mind for meditation.
Take a slow, deep breath in… hold it… and slowly release it. As you exhale, feel your shoulders soften and relax.
Take another slow breath inward… and as you breathe out, feel the muscles in your face relax… your forehead… your jaw… your neck and throat. Let your shoulders fall even further.
Very good. Continue breathing slowly and deeply. With each exhale, feel tension releasing from your chest… your stomach… your hips… your legs… your knees… and all the way down to your feet. Even your toes are relaxed and at ease.
Now, in this quiet space, we will gently reflect on the ideas from the first review of the Workbook. Let each idea wash over your mind without effort.
Relax now into these Lessons.
Allow their meaning to help undo fear, the ego and restore your awareness of Truth.
Lessons 1–10
1. Nothing I see means anything.
What you see with the body’s eyes does not reflect your true Reality. Your true Reality is found within, in the peace of God.
2. I have given what I see all the meaning it has for me.
You have assigned meaning to everything you perceive. This means your mind can also choose again.
3. I do not understand anything I see.
Without true perception, the world cannot be understood. You are learning to see with a different Guide.
4. These thoughts do not mean anything.
Passing thoughts about the world do not define you or reflect Truth.
5. I am never upset for the reason I think.
Upset comes from misperception, not from external causes.
6. I am upset because I see what is not there.
Distress arises from seeing through the lens of fear rather than Truth.
7. I see only the past.
Perception is shaped by old interpretations. You are learning to see freshly.
8. My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts.
Release old patterns of thinking and allow a new perception to dawn.
9. I see nothing as it is now.
True vision is not yet fully accepted, but it is available to you.
10. My thoughts do not mean anything.
Let meaningless thoughts pass without attachment.
Pause… breathe… allow these ideas to settle.
Lessons 11–20
11. My meaningless thoughts are showing me a meaningless world.
The world you see reflects the thoughts you hold. As your mind heals, your perception will change.
12. I am upset because I see a meaningless world.
When meaning feels absent, fear can arise. Healing restores true meaning.
13. A meaningless world engenders fear.
Fear fades as you remember that God did not create a meaningless world.
14. God did not create a meaningless world.
Reality is loving, ordered, and safe in God.
15. My thoughts are images that I have made.
Thoughts shape perception, and thoughts can be gently corrected.
16. I have no neutral thoughts.
Each thought either reflects fear or extends love.
17. I see no neutral things.
Perception follows thought.
18. I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my seeing.
Minds are joined. Healing is shared.
19. I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my thoughts.
Your healing blesses the whole.
20. I am determined to see.
Willingness opens the way to Christ Vision.
Pause… breathe… soften.
Lessons 21–30
21. I am determined to see things differently.
A new perception is possible.
22. What I see is a form of vengeance.
The world can reflect a belief in separation, but this belief can be undone.
23. I can escape from this world by giving up attack thoughts.
Releasing judgment brings freedom.
24. I do not perceive my own best interests.
Trust a Higher Wisdom to guide your perception.
25. I do not know what anything is for.
Let meaning be reinterpreted through love.
26. My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability.
Judgment disturbs peace, but peace is your natural state.
27. Above all else I want to see.
Vision is your true desire.
28. Above all else I want to see differently.
Seeing differently restores peace.
29. God is in everything I see.
Divine Presence underlies all things.
30. God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.
The light of awareness comes from within.
Pause… breathe… rest in willingness.
Lessons 31–40
31. I am not the victim of the world I see.
You have the power to choose your perception.
32. I have invented the world I see.
And you can choose to see differently.
33. There is another way of looking at the world.
This is the way of forgiveness.
34. I could see peace instead of this.
Peace is always an available choice.
35. My mind is part of God’s. I am very holy.
Your true identity is holy and whole.
36. My holiness envelops everything I see.
Holiness extends naturally.
37. My holiness blesses the world.
Your healed perception is a blessing.
38. There is nothing my holiness cannot do.
Love is limitless.
39. My holiness is my salvation.
Holiness restores awareness of Truth.
40. I am blessed as a Son of God.
You remain as God created you.
Pause… breathe… feel the gentleness of this.

You are never separate from Divine Presence.
42. God is my strength. Vision is His gift.
True seeing comes from union with God.
43. God is my Source. I cannot see apart from Him.
Vision reflects your Source.

Light replaces confusion.

Love is your true nourishment.
Closing Stillness
These first 50 lessons gently loosen your attachment to fear and the ego – they open your mind to a new way of seeing.
Rest now in the quiet awareness that God is with you.
Feel gratitude for the Love that sustains you.
Feel that Love nearer than your very thoughts.
Rest in this Holy Instant.
Allow your mind to be healed of the belief in separation.
(Silence / music)
Returning
Now it is time to return.
Take a deep breath in… become aware of your body… your surroundings… the support beneath you.
Know that the healing continues beyond this meditation. Your willingness carries into your day.
When you are ready, gently open your eyes.
Welcome back. You did beautifully.
I am grateful to share this journey with you through the first 50 lessons of A Course in Miracles.
