Review IV: Meditation on Workbook Lessons 121–140 from A Course in Miracles

Introduction

This guided meditation accompanies Review IV of the Workbook of A Course in Miracles (Lessons 121–140). While the Workbook is designed as a daily practice, this meditation offers a gentle introduction to the themes of this review, allowing you to experience them as a unified movement of healing.

Use this meditation as a supportive companion to your daily lesson practice, or anytime you feel called to return to these foundational ideas that deepen forgiveness, release conflict, and restore your awareness of Love and unity.

Meditation

Now, let’s begin.

To start, I would like you to close your eyes and get comfortable.

If you are prone to falling asleep, please sit in an upright position to help you remain gently alert.

First, we will ready the body and quiet the mind for meditation.

Take a slow, deep breath in… hold it… and slowly release it. As you exhale, feel your shoulders soften and relax.

Take another slow breath inward… and as you breathe out, feel the muscles in your face relax… your forehead… your jaw… your neck and throat. Let your shoulders fall even further.

Very good. Continue breathing slowly and deeply. With each exhale, feel tension releasing from your chest… your stomach… your hips… your legs… your knees… and all the way down to your feet. Even your toes are relaxed and at ease.

Now, in this quiet space, we will gently reflect on the ideas from the fourth review of the Workbook. Let each idea wash over your mind without effort.

Relax now into these Lessons.
Allow their meaning to help undo fear, release conflict, and restore your awareness of Truth.

 

Lessons 121–130

121. Forgiveness is the key to happiness.
Forgiveness releases inner conflict and opens the way to peace.

122. Forgiveness offers everything I want.
Peace, happiness, and freedom come through forgiveness.

123. I thank my Father for His gifts to me.
Gratitude opens your awareness to the gifts already given.

124. Let me remember I am one with God.
You remain united with your Source, sustained by Love.

125. In quiet I receive God's Word today.
Stillness allows truth to be recognized.

126. All that I give is given to myself.
What you extend in love returns to you.

127. There is no love but God's.
Love is eternal and unchanging.

128. The world I see holds nothing that I want.
Lasting peace is not found in shifting forms.

129. Beyond this world there is a world I want.
You long for the peace of Heaven, which is within.

130. It is impossible to see two worlds.
Perception shifts as you choose love over fear.

 

Pause… breathe… allow these ideas to settle.

 

Lessons 131–135

131. No one can fail who seeks to reach the truth.
Sincere seeking always leads to peace.

132. I loose the world from all I thought it was.
You release old interpretations and allow new perception.

133. I will not value what is valueless.
You choose to value what is eternal.

134. Let me perceive forgiveness as it is.
Forgiveness releases you from conflict.

135. If I defend myself I am attacked.
True safety comes from letting go of defense and choosing peace.

 

Pause… breathe… soften.

 

Lessons 136–140 

136. Sickness is a defense against the truth.
Healing comes as truth is gently accepted.

137. When I am healed I am not healed alone.
Healing extends to all minds, for minds are joined.

138. Heaven is the decision I must make.
Heaven is the choice for peace and unity.

139. I will accept Atonement for myself.
Accepting your wholeness blesses all.

140. Only salvation can be said to cure.
Salvation is the recognition of your true, unchanging Self.

 

Closing Stillness

These lessons gently guide you to release conflict and remember your unity with God.

Rest now in the quiet awareness that God is with you.
Feel gratitude for the Love that sustains you.
Feel that Love nearer than your very thoughts.

Rest in this Holy Instant.
Allow your mind to be healed of the belief in separation.

Returning

Now it is time to return.

Take a deep breath in… become aware of your body… your surroundings… the support beneath you.

Know that the healing continues beyond this meditation. Your willingness carries into your day.

When you are ready, gently open your eyes.

Welcome back. You did beautifully.
